Auditory Feedback for Robotic Gait Training

February 2012 – July 2015

I co-authored the proposal for a CTI project. Under the supervision of Karmen Franinovic, I led the R&D team on interactive sonification, sensing, and graphical and auditory interfaces for neuro-motor rehabilitation.

The work looked for gait-pattern sensing that could sit inside an existing gait-training robot, and for sonification scenarios that therapists and stroke survivors could actually use. We delivered custom wireless sensor foot plates and a graphical research system for testing therapy scenarios and handing clean data to clinical trials.
