Remote Embodied Interactions

February 2011 – July 2012

How can body movement and acting in sync be a form of non-verbal communication? For the MA in Interaction Design I worked on social integration and the bodily language of the hearing-impaired community.

Workshops with the deaf community in Zurich led to a system that sends remote body sensing and bilateral movement through space. Haptic, visual, and auditory feedback let people in different places explore the same interplay.
