Essays on digital life

May 2018

Essays on digital life. A live performance shown as an installation, partly reading essays, partly reading Tinder profiles.

Traces

Rivers will flow from high points into the lower areas, ending up on the ocean or joining other rivers. Occasionally they will dry up and disappear. They will leave traces over the territories where they will flow through. We will take a walk along a river. After long years of silence you will write me about it. By then I will forget everything what I was and knew. So I will send you an emoji. The river will probably still be there for long years after. Possibly later it will evaporate.

Survival

Somebody will pay me some money to do some random work. This will be called free lancing. I will do this so I can pay someone else to help me out doing what I can’t. This will help me to feel less lonely in the process of being busy. With the left money I will buy what I can. I will meet occasionally a nurse. She will be the closest I will have to a lover. But we won’t be. Every time we will spend time together it will be different. As if she will be in many places and I won’t. It will feel like being visited in a prison.
